Privacy Policy
Effective date: 18 August 2026
1. Who we are
Frequency Builders operates FreqDine (freqdine.com), a point-of-sale and billing platform used by restaurants.
Address: Chowk Phullan Wala, 1256, Gali Jarau, Amritsar 143001, Punjab, India.
Email: support@freqdine.com.
2. Whose data we handle
Restaurant users — owners, managers, cashiers, waiters and kitchen staff who hold accounts on FreqDine.
Diners — customers of those restaurants, whose details a restaurant enters while billing.
This distinction matters. For diner data, the restaurant decides what is collected and why. FreqDine processes that data on the restaurant's behalf, as their service provider.
3. What we collect
- Restaurant users: name, email address, phone number, role, and the restaurant they belong to. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth; we do not store passwords in readable form.
- Restaurant business details: restaurant name, address, phone, GSTIN where provided, and logo.
- Diners: name and mobile number when entered at billing, plus the order and bill contents. Entering a diner's phone number is optional and is only used to send them their bill.
- Operational records: orders, kitchen ticket status, bills and invoice numbers, payment mode (cash/UPI/card — we do not collect or store card numbers or bank details), discounts, expenses, vendor names, and staff attendance and salary records entered by the restaurant.
- Technical records: log data needed to run and debug the service.
4. How we use it
To run billing and kitchen operations, generate GST invoices, send bills over WhatsApp, produce reports and daily summaries for the restaurant owner, support the restaurant, and keep the service secure and working.
5. WhatsApp bill delivery
When a restaurant sends a bill over WhatsApp, the diner's mobile number and the bill details are transmitted to Meta Platforms through the WhatsApp Business API so the message can be delivered. Meta's own terms and privacy policy govern what Meta does with that information.
A PDF copy of the receipt is stored so the message can carry it. Delivery status information that Meta reports back to us is recorded, so restaurants can see whether a bill actually reached the diner.
6. Who else we share data with
Our hosting and database infrastructure providers; Meta, for WhatsApp delivery; and our payment provider, for restaurant subscription billing.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share diner data with advertisers.
7. Where data is stored and how long
Data is held on managed cloud infrastructure. Restaurant business records such as bills are retained while the account is active, because restaurants need them for their own accounting and tax obligations. Diner phone numbers are kept only as long as needed for billing history and support.
8. Your rights
Anyone can write to support@freqdine.com to ask what we hold about them, to correct it, or to ask for deletion.
A diner should usually approach the restaurant they visited first, since the restaurant controls that record. We will help the restaurant act on such a request. We handle these requests in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
9. Security
Access is restricted per restaurant using database-level row security, so one restaurant cannot see another's data. Connections are encrypted in transit, and access within a restaurant is limited by staff role.
10. Children
FreqDine is a business tool and is not directed at children.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page and change the effective date when this policy changes.
